The Nelsons currently reside in Sioux City, Iowa, where Nic is the Assistant Men's Basketball Coach at Briar Cliff University. Michelle teaches 3rd Grade at Riverside Elementary.
Nic graduated from Morningside College in Sioux City in 2001, where he was a successful athlete and student. He went on to play a couple years of Independent Professional Baseball, until he began persuing his true dream of coaching basketball. Nic attended highschool at Central Lyon in Rock Rapids, IA.
Michelle Graduated from the University of Northern Iowa in 1998 with a degree in Elementary Education. Michelle also has her Masters Degree in Education. Michelle attended Audobon High School in Audobon, Iowa.
Grace Isabella was born on May 20, 2005 in Pella, Iowa. She was diognosed with Type II Spinal Muscular Atrophy in December of 2006. Since her diagnosis, Gracie continues to wow doctors with her unusual strength and surprising acheivements. (It's amazing what some prayers will do!)
Grace is definately a girly-girl, with a strong interest in Barbie, her dolly house and lip gloss. She loves books and music, and most of all, talking....and talking and talking.
